Residual Dispersion Slope Compensation based on FBG Technology
Proximion’s Continuous Residual Dispersion Slope Compensator (DCM-SLC) represents a new approach to dispersion management in general long haul as well as submarine networks. The DCM-SLC combines the strengths of traditional Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) based DCMs such as low loss, virtually no latency, no non-linear effects and extremely small size with the ability to tailor the dispersion characteristics to link specific values. The DCM-SLC further has the advantage of being able to supply full band and channel plan independent compensation for any modulation format in 10 Gbit/s, 40 Gbit/s or 100 Gbit/s networks.
