Dispersion Compensation Module HDCM

Proximion’s High Value Continuous Band Dispersion Compensation Module (HDCM) enables concentration of dispersion compensating throughout the link significantly reducing the number of compensating points. The HDCM harbours the traditional strengths of Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) based DCMs namely low loss, no non-linear effects, no latency and small size still holding the ability of full band and channel plan independent compensation which is the unique trademark of Proximion Continuous Band DCM’s. By combining several FBGs in the HDCM, it is possible to offer modules with the highest dispersion compensation currently available on the market.

The HDCM comes available in many variants meeting requirements for any modulation format used for 10 Gbit/s, 40 Gbit/s and 100 Gbit/s networks.
